This Amrut is a single cask bottling. It matured in barrels in which Port wine was previously stored. Only the best Indian grain from the foot of the Himalayas was used. It was cultivated according to ancient Indian tradition. This Amrut was distilled in small batches to preserve the natural flavours. The distillate was then stored in oak barrels in tropical conditions at an altitude of about 1000 metres in Bangalore. Nose: Rich, intense, sweet, peat, cherries, spices, mint, plums, mushrooms, wine. Taste: Bitter, sweet, chilli, cinnamon, smoke, peat, fig jam, sultanas, rum cake. Finish: Long lasting, peaty, ash, notes of cinnamon and dates.
