Sambucus ?Welsh Gold? is easily distinguished by its deeply cut, feathery yellow-green leaves and compact habit. foliage emerges in spring with a bronze tint before it matures to a vibrant yellow-green. In late spring and early summer, scented umbels of white blooms will become a magnet for pollinating insects and orange-red berries with follow in late summer to early autumn. This quick-growing shrub produces sturdy, upright stems, cloaked in vibrant leaves which form an excellent stand alone specimen. Sambucus ?Welsh Gold? is a disease-free variety, perfect for woodland gardens and small mixed borders. Height: 120cm (4ft). Spread: 1m (39in).
