Aptly named 'Caroline Upright', this Japanese Holly has an upright habit which is perfect for creating a privacy screening or hedge. A dependable hardy evergreen variety with a dense habit of small, glossy, oval leaves makes it an excellent alternative to Box hedging. Ilex crenata 'Caroline Upright' is a male variety that will produce small flowers in May but these won't affect its formal and tidy appearance.
