Scabious caucasica 'Goldingensis' is an attractive, resilient perennial. It is a fixture in cottage gardens and is also beneficial in cut flower gardens and wildlife areas, where the blossoms attract a steady buzz of pollinating insects. Introduced in 1887, this scabious has the largest flowers and the deepest blue of any garden scabious. To create a wonderful, billowing look, plant it in huge groupings among other perennials.
