Losec MUPS is a commonly prescribed medication for acid reflux. The medication works by reducing the amount of stomach acid produced by the body, helping to prevent any acid from refluxing out of the stomach. Losec tablets are also used to treat gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD).Losec MUPS contains the active ingredient Omeprazole, which is part of a group of medicines known as proton pump inhibitors (PPI). Losec MUPs work by blocking enzymes called ‘proton pumps’ responsible for creating stomach acid.
