125-150mm Creosoted Cundy Strainer Post with 40+ Years Durability Please note this product along with any information about this product is for industrial or professional use only - not for domestic or DIY purposes. Our 125-150mm creosoted cundy strainer posts are the perfect solution for creating sturdy and long-lasting fences. These heavy-duty posts are designed for use at key structural points in fencing - such as changes in direction or every 100 metres along a run of wire. With their robust build, they can withstand the tension of strained wire, ensuring your fence stays secure and functional for many years. These posts are made from slow-grown European Redwood, primarily Pine, which is known for its superior strength and ability to retain treatment. The redwood timber's cell structure remains open after drying, allowing for deeper creosote penetration compared to whitewood. This results in better long-term protection and retention of the treatment. Before treatment, the timber is dried to below 28% moisture content. The creosote is then heated to around 90°C and applied under approximately 3 bar of pressure, ensuring the wood is thoroughly impregnated. This process offers a service life of up to 40 years, making these posts an excellent investment for long-term agricultural fencing solutions. Creosoted timber varies in colour, from light brown to almost black. This variation does not affect the quality of the post, as the treatment’s effectiveness remains consistent regardless of shade. Our posts are treated in the UK, adhering to high standards of durability and performance.
