This groundbreaking succulent is a world-first cross between Sempervivum and Aeonium, making it a very exciting variety! Semponium boast the magnificent and unusual rosettes and shrub habit of Aeonium and the hardiness of Sempervivum to produce this vigorous hybrid in a variety of interesting natural colours. Semponium 'Diamond' produces symmetrical rosettes of shiny, fleshy, spoon-like leaves which are bright green with a vibrant red edge when in direct sunlight. This versatile succulent will most certainly catch the eye in patio pots, rockeries, gravel gardens and exotic borders as well as making a great gap-filler. Young plants will swiftly branch out to create wonderfully bushy, multi-headed specimens that are hardy down to roughly -4C. Height and spread: 40cm (16in).
