Walnut trees are a stunning feature in a larger garden. French Walnut 'Lara'® is a spur bearing variety that is slightly more compact than others, but it still produces stunning proportions. From September to December, this early-bearing walnut produces excellent quality nuts with a distinct creamy flavor. 'Lara'® walnut is grown on 'Juglans regia' rootstock. It is self-fertile and thus does not require a pollination partner. Walnut trees may take a while to establish, but they will start producing nuts after about four years. 12m (39') tall. 9m (29') spread. Once planted, the estimated time to harvest is four years. The time to best yield is estimated to be 10 years.
