These economical single axis (R.A.) DC motor drives are designed to compensate for the earth's rotation. Their rotation speed matches the earth's rotation rate for stars to appear stationary in telescope eyepieces. With a 9-volt alkaline battery (not included) installed, it lasts up to 40 hours.
