Prunus tomentosa is a variety of Downy Cherry that is hardy and produces a wider shape than most Ornamental Cherry trees. Fragrant, pale pink blooms emerge in spring before leaves join the fun in summer. By autumn red fruits will have replaced the blooms, that birds and wildlife love to feast on. Foliage becomes yellow, orange and red in typical autumn style, before dropping for winter. Prunus tomentosa stands out in woodland areas or amongst other large shrubs. Height: 250cm (978). Spread: 300cm (118).
