Itea virginica 'Little Henry' is a tough deciduous shrub with narrow, dark green leaves up to 10 cm (4 inches) long. These leaves turn red to purple in the autumn, providing a stunning autumn color. It prefers moist, acidic to neutral soil, making it ideal for woodland edges or as a specimen shrub in acid borders. In May and June, this upright, arching shrub is covered with fragrant, small, creamy white flowers in dense, erect racemes. Height: 1 m (39). Spread: 1.5m (5').
