Beautiful fruits not too dissimilar to Seville oranges are produced on ?Bigaradier?, which are perfect for making marmalade or can be kept for up to two weeks once picked. Although the fruits can take up to a year to ripen, it?s absolutely worth the patience for the possibilities are endless in drinks and kitchen recipes. Not only this, but it will produce pretty little white fragrant blooms in April to June, for some added interest. Able to survive periods of temperature down to 0C, but best brought inside to protect from frost in autumn to spring. Self-fertile. Propagated onto 'PS' rootstock and supplied as a large specimen bush (often in fruit) in a 5 litre pot. Height: 2m (6'). Spread: 1.2m (2'). Estimated time to cropping once planted: 1 year. Estimated time to best yields: 3 years.
