Working with our fellow independent Peak District company, Seamoor Coffee to bring you a richly layered and complex coffee from Barrel Aged coffee beans to compliment the exciting plans for Necessary Evil in 2022 Necessary Evil is our lovingly crafted imperial stout aged 8 months in bourbon barrels. One of these barrels has been filled with a washed Red Bourbon coffee sourced from Izuba washing station in Kabaroe, Burundi After a period of 16 days ageing, allowing the un-roasted green beans to absorb the flavours of the barrel and the aromas of the beverages that have passed through it previously, the sweet fruity lychee and pomegranate notes of the coffee have been totally elevated and transformed. Aromas of sweet bourbon, vanilla and oak from the ageing process combine with the rich chocolate, roasted malts and caramel from the stout , to produce a richly layered and complex coffee Filter Ground Coffee : 250g Roast Date : 09/01/2022 BBD : 09/07/2022
