Designed with the environment in mind, these 4 x 8 Priory Elements Ecolabels are 100% plastic-free, made from FSC certified mix credit paper pulp, and have no phenol-top coating. Unlike regular thermal labels, our phenol-free thermal printer labels have a top coating that poses no damage to our environment. Priory Elements Ecolabels™ are suitable for direct thermal and water-based flexography, and provide long-lasting, high quality print and colour. Commonly known as BPA, phenols and bisphenols which coat normal thermal labels are dangerous for the environment. When disposed of, they are incapable of fully breaking down, resulting in microplastics which become ingested by animals and sea life, remaining in our food chain and ecosystems forever. As well as posing risks to our planet, exposure to these chemicals can cause damage to our health and bodies.
